SMX Advanced 2008 – Recap

SMX Advanced 08 has just been ended and must admit that it was a really great show. Amazing sessions! Yesterday, the conference was opened by Danny Sullivan and Microsoft’s Kevin Johnson (he is President of the Platform & Services Division) – a nice warm-up. Continuing the day I completely stayed at the SEO organic track covering the following topics.

  • Blow Your Mind Link Building Techniques
  • Bot Herding
  • Buying Sites For SEO
  • You & A With Matt Cutts

To be honest I’m too lazy to sum up everything that has been discussed there (yeah, you probably should have come to Seattle…) but there is a nice overview of posts over at SearchEngineLand.

Today, I started with “Search Friendly Development” at the Developers Day which was more like basic stuff and therefore not that interesting. In the afternoon I switched back to the organic track which was then covering “Analytics Every SEO Needs To Know” which was also very interesting. The conference finished with the truly awesome “Give it Up session” but the content of this session can not be posted until July 3rd – sorry ;)

Also for today, there is a very nice recap of every session which took place – be sure to check out SearchEngineLand for their coverage.

I’m gonna get ready for the SEOmoz party – see your there!
