re:publica 08 – day 1

Morning everybody. Just wanna do a quick summary of day 1, re:publica 08: Additionally to the keynote I also attend to some other sessions but to be honest none of them is really worth mentioning, but anyway, here we go:

The future of social networks” was really boring because of the moderator Tim Pritlove – he tried to “save” the attendees from the “bad, bad social networks“, this was really lame. I thought it would be better because the panel was really promising and with Michael Brehm and Joel Berger (CEO studiVZ / MySpace DE) well-staffed.

Other sessions like the quality discussion on “blogging versus journalism” or “WEB 2.0 in companies” (done by IBM) were not more then average. Lets see what day 2 brings, currently I’m listening to “Telekom meets WEB 2.0” – sounds promising but you never know…
